NFL's All-Time Dream Showdowns by Damalis Bryant

NFL's All-Time Dream Showdowns: Fantasy Matchups & Realistic Results
I have to be honest NFL's All-Time Dream Showdowns Fantasy Matchups & Realistic Results was a hard read for me.  The main point being that I am not a huge fan of football, but I wanted to give this book a chance. As it did not really appeal to myself I decided to ask my husband if he would be willing to read it.  The reason being he lives for football.  The type of guy who watches ALL the games, and always tells me there is NO offseason.  To my surprise he read it.  The end result is that he is a big fan of this book.  Explaining that some of the best parts of the book is the detail to statistics.  Also, he notes how the stats play a factor in the "Superbowls" as he calls it.  Saying that he thinks this would only really appeal to hardcore NFL fans who not just love the NFL as it is today, but pro-football as it was in the past.  Also, he said that the best part is this is a book that two fans could enjoy and then argue about the end results.  Since the games really never took place and this is how they unfold in the author's (Damalis Bryant) eyes.  His final suggestion is that this book should not be one that someone sits down and rushes through.  Read the first part of the book to understand these teams.  Then read a game or two.  This is one a fan can enjoy over a long period of time.  So if your looking for a gift idea or you are a serious NFL fan this really is a great idea.

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review.

After the Super Bowl what’s a football fan to do?

The talk begins – the talk about who’s the greatest quarterback of all time or whether the 1992 Dallas Cowboys could beat the 1989 49ers.  You’ve heard it all – again and again and again.

Well, now that endless chatter can be silenced by turning to Damalis Bryant’s NFL’s All-Time Dream Showdown: Fantasy Matchups & Realistic Results.

Damalis Bryant, a young soldier who just completed a combat tour in Afghanistan, is a huge football fan who has attempted to resolve in writing the continual debate among fans on which NFL team is the greatest of all time.
Bryant accomplishes that challenging feat in his new book, NFL’s All-Time Dream Showdown: Fantasy Matchups & Realistic Results. The author describes his book and its aim in the introduction when he writes: “What follows might be thought of as a season full of Super Bowls—over a dozen of the greatest teams ever to walk on a football field, playing each other through a series of games, with every contest having the suspense and quality of a Super Bowl. It’s a situation that any real fan would see as football heaven.”
